nothing unusal....On being Black

this health thing is very interesting... try an
afternoon cup of "coffee" (recipe below)
and a 2 mile walk...in the morning...

Shadow in the fog
Night hiding in the creases of the day
sky and sea
No matter what I remember
It is another day

Each of us has only one life ..

what this amounts to is :
one tablespoon chicory
one tablespoon dandelion powder
three tablespoons Pero
40 or more ounces of water....
not exact... for an one of a kind cup of  coffee..

to continue...
a little ni--er slept in the woods...
afternoon played a song ...
in his memory
a little ni--er slept in the woods

life ..?

I am so excited... "going healthy"
I am having garlic soup... nothing fancy...
and I want to try to make a bread recipe...
using celery,  carrots and walnut flour...
of course I need something to drink...
this entry was to be about ...a collective
of women working for 30 days
straight ... making merchandise for the swap-flea market ..
a pair of garter stitch socks ...done on two needles  ..
spiral ribbing...
and how it is natural to make two so as to have a pair...
unless you are special and were born with three feet...
hunch back born with three feet
     After Thought Heel
I accept the facts I can
I can
connect
I am different,  yet the same
I am
lame
sorrow has no4 walls
www.developinghealthyhabits.com
I never have time and life is escaping me... and soup
turns out to be... boiled mashed garlic turned into a peanut butter
spread.... on commercial bread...

thinking of my Mother ....

Post by:  carmen bethel

An old woman was sweeping her house, and she found a little crooked sixpence. "What," said she, "shall I do with this little sixpence? I will go to market, and buy a little pig."
As she was coming home, she came to a stile. But the piggy wouldn't go over the stile. She went a little further, and she met a dog. So she said to him, "Dog! Dog! Bite pig. Piggy won't go over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the dog wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met a stick. So she said, "Stick! Stick! Beat dog! Dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the stick wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met a fire. So she said, "Fire! Fire! Burn stick. Stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the fire wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met some water. So she said, "Water! Water! Quench fire. Fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the water wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met an ox. So she said, "Ox! Ox! Drink water. Water won't quench fire; fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the ox wouldn't. She went a little further and she met a butcher. So she said, "Butcher! Butcher! Kill ox. Ox won't drink water; water won't quench fire; fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the butcher wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met a rope. So she said, "Rope! Rope! Hang butcher. Butcher won't kill ox; ox won't drink water; water won't quench fire; fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the rope wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met a rat. So she said, "Rat! Rat! Gnaw rope. Rope won't hang butcher, butcher won't kill ox; ox won't drink water; water won't quench fire; fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the rat wouldn't. She went a little further, and she met a cat. So she said, "Cat! Cat! Kill rat. Rat won't gnaw rope; rope won't hang butcher; butcher won't kill ox; ox won't drink water; water won't quench fire; fire won't burn stick; stick won't beat dog; dog won't bite pig; piggy won't get over the stile; and I shan't get home tonight." But the cat said to her, "If you will go to yonder cow, and fetch me a saucer of milk, I will kill the rat." So away went the old woman to the cow. But the cow said to her, "If you will go to yonder haystack, and fetch me a handful of hay, I'll give you the milk." So away went the old woman to the hay-stack; and she brought the hay to the cow. As soon as the cow had eaten the hay, she gave the old woman the milk; and away she went with it in a saucer to the cat. As soon as the cat had lapped up the milk, the cat began to kill the rat; the rat began to gnaw the rope; the rope began to hang the butcher; the butcher began to kill the ox; the ox began to drink the water; the water began to quench the fire; the fire began to burn the stick; the stick began to beat the dog; the dog began to bite the pig; the little pig in a fright jumped over the stile; and so the old woman got home that night.

No4walls ...material?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

by: carmen bethel

because you have to have a christmas song for the reader

so I wrote this ...the way of an entertainer....

Where is Christmas on the map

Where the sugar drips off the trees

all year round

it's where a day without clouds is top priority

I am looking everyday, every spare moment

Because someone stole my Christmas

Looking at a pictures of all the happy faces of Christmas

What are these faces from the past trying to say?

I guess I'm bashful at the thought of being left out

Christmas day, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday,

saturday, sunday.

At Christmas Day there is something for every one

Love is that old broom that won't sweep clean

If I find Christmas in my memories
I know to recall someone elses merriment,
 a postcard day

I know to recall the captions of a broken heart...

Because someone stole my Christmas..

Christmas of yesteryear, daddy was drinking beer

Mama  looked in the mirror to see if she could find some Christmas cheer

Oh, Oh it came upon a midnight clear.

if you r interested there is a part one 2007 ...a part two 2008 and this is part three 2009 ...
the other two parts can be found at:  http://meatthat.livejournal.com
teacher said it doesn't matter if you celebrate Christmas ...people in the crowd do...

Song and Friends

By:  carmenbethel
http://meatthat.livejournal.com

living my life I'm bound

leave all you've left

Keep misery from going round

Young and old well never wear a frown

This the plan I'm gonna .. shake your hand

Now I can

We are from the ground

Now I can shake your hand

You are my neighbor

When there is no work

Work is what we're doing

We are waiting for light to get going

Rest and all the rest

At dawn

Young or old we'll never wear a frown
